Bought it for cleaning carbs. First project was a 78 Rochester Quadrajet that was full of varnish. This ultrasonic cleaner worked really good.

Should have gotten one size bigger BUT I just have to flip my carbs around a few times no big deal. It cleaned these carbs off a 95 Honda shadow and made em look new again. Wish i would’ve gotten one sooner and man does it get warm

This unit is just as powerful as what you would use in a laboratory environment. I don’t use the metal insert as I prefer to put jewelry on plastic surfaces. Used to clean everything from gears to jewelry.

The heater works well and heats up the water in a reasonable amount of time and the various wave features seems to work well for cleaning. I’ve been using it to clean used brass and it does a good job getting the primer pockets cleaned and getting the rest of the brass clean as well. I do find that I a little time in the vibratory bowl seems to bring back that new shell luster otherwise they are good enough coming out of the water. I put the in the oven and bake them for a bit to get them dry and then you’re good to go. I did get some Hornady brass cleaning solution and that did seem to help them clean a little better. I think perhaps if a person wanted to clean a lot of brass this way they may want a bigger sonicator as I have to run them a couple times if I have the basket more than half full. Can’t say I’ve seen a big difference in cleanliness with higher temps as I varied from 50C to 80C and haven’t noticed much difference. I do wish it had a draining function versus just dumping it out the top, would be a nice addition. Otherwise overall seems to be a decent cleaner for not a ton of money. See how long it lasts so far I’ve been happy with the items I’ve purchased from Vevor.

Works great for cleaning range brass. I use 5 minutes, 40C and the degas feature and the brass is clean. My cleaning solution is RCBS Ultrasonic concentrated cleaning solution. My only gripe with the unit is that the basket that is provided is rather coarse (about 1/2″), I would rather it had a screen. Looking at my cleaning operation now, I can clean way faster than I can dry (I use a dehydrator). I follow the instructions which say not to insert an object to be cleaned directly into the pan without a basket. Apparently holes could develop in the pan. I bought some appropriately sized plastic baskets that are open weaved to let the waves pass through more easily.

Works perfect and I’m glad I finally bought one. I use it for cleaning mechanical parts. One thing I realized after I got it is it is LOUD. Of course everyone says they are loud, but you don’t really understand how loud till you’re actually using it. I built a little “house” for it to be in when I use it which has some soundproofing. Makes it way better to work around while I’m doing other stuff. Just don’t enclose it in too small of an area or it will overheat. Otherwise I personally would wear hearing protection around it.
