This VFD converter can be used for constant torque loads (such as hard starting: Air compressors, HVAC units) and variable torque loads (such as pumps, fans, etc.). In addition, it can be used as a motor speed control and a phase converter. The input for this VFD is 1 or 3 phase, and the output is 3 phase. You can control the different speeds you like when you use this VFD. This item uses Sine wave PWN(SVPWM) for the control system and performance excellently. It also has passed CE certification.

This VFD uses a unique control method to achieve the high moment of force, high precision, and wide speed regulating range driving. It can realize functions like up to 8/16-segment speed control, a program running, 4-segment acceleration/deceleration switching, etc.
High-Quality Material
The case of CNC VFD is made of ABS flame retardant material which features strong crash-proof capabilities, good flame retardancy with a non-corrosive coating. In addition, it has good tripping prevent performance and the ability to adapt to rough power, temperature, humidity, and dust interference, greatly improved stability. The capacitor can withstand temperatures up to 105℃, higher than ordinary ones (80℃).
High Air Volume
The VFD drive is equipped with fan cooling and a built-in radiator. It has an efficient heat dissipation ability, ensuring a suitable temperature inside the VFD. I am running mine at 241 volts. Since this is Chinese and designed for 220 volts I was a bit nervous but it seems to handle the higher US voltage at 60 Hertz just fine. The instructions were written by someone who doesn’t know English but I’m okay with that.

I chose to add remote forward, reverse, speed (potentiometer) and e-stop controls and the process was very easily done. Manual is all you need and if it isn’t customer service will walk you through. I can’t comment on longevity but it is powering a 3 phase motor on a lathe smoothly.

These are great for converting 3-phase motors to single-phase, with full speed control and reverse. Just put 2 on a radial-arm drill press, replacing the old contactor box.

Put two of these on an older radial-arm drill press with 3-phase motor in a single-phase shop. The full variable speed is far superior to the original few selections. Reverse is just a touch of a button. No worries about contactor problems. I have these on my lathe and air compressor and have installed them for friends. 100% satisfaction over several years.

So far, it’s working perfectly as a single phase 220VAC to 3 phase 240 on an old 1HP southbend lathe for a couple of weeks. My motor is probably drawing upto sbout 1kw, but I havent checked since this VFD is rated much higher. Havent got it fully set up yet, but the manuel is decent and reasonably written, but could be improved.
Based on the succcess of this experience, planing to purchase all 3 phase motors and drive them by VFDs in the future. I already have 8 more on order.
Clearly, Im counting on the long term durability to be solid.
I also like this unit because the DC bus is accessible in the drive and I plan to test it running straight off 380VDC. If successfull, will likely wire everything to run 380VDC directly off of solar assuming I can find a charge controller to regulate a high voltage battery pack.

I haven’t used this extensively yet, but it’s converting a 3 phase 5 horse table saw motor to single phase 240v and doing an awesome job. I wired a paddle switch for easier operation from Powertec and love it! I set up a soft start and electric blade brake, all were super easy to set up.

Used this VFd to power my Bridgeport knee mill, works very well. Only complaint not enough spacing between lugs to be able to use ring eye terminals on ends of wires. I am installing this VFD on my belt grinder and just ordered the 5 hp VFD to power my knee mill.
