Nice rubber pet broom! We had one growing up and it was my favorite cleaning tool. It takes some time and muscle to pick up remove hair and such from carpet and rugs, but its very thorough. I like it comes with a hanging hook and microfiber towel for cleaning additional surfaces and the brush itself. What I don’t like is the broom handle is made of a thin hollow metal that’s comes in 4 pieces and screwed together. It makes the brush feel flimsy. I think this is why it requires more effort, because you don’t want to put too much pressure on the the broom as it feels like the handle will bend or come unscrewed. It think its fine for hard surfaces, but I did not like using it on my rugs too much. I think I’ll replace the handle with an extra solid brook handle I have and then it’ll be great!

VEVOR Pet Hair Removal Broom (58.46 in Adjustable Long Handle, Rubber Broom with Built in Squeegee, Brand: the VEVOR Store)- Come in 4 parts easy to screw together. Which is great for portability for cleaning supplies. However, I have since swapped it out with a solid wood handle for added security while in use. The handle length is sufficient for most adults and is made from hollow aluminum. The brush does a good job scarping up debris on carpets. I like the squeegee for getting up pet hair though. You do have to stamina and strength while using this tool. So, get a workout in!

This was easy to assemble, and I like that I can reduce the pole down really short, and then extend it to the max length. It work best on areas where there are clumps of fur, and really does get trapped and held onto the rake. It doesn’t take the place of vacuuming, but is a helpful tool.

I try to clean it with lint remover and stuff like that but it always misses some. This rake pulled out hair I didn’t even know was there. I got it for upholstery so haven’t tried it on carpet yet but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work well on that as well. Maybe even better but on my ottoman and couch it’s done wonderful.

Vacuums can only do so much around pet hair and long human hair, which we have in abundance. I was eager to try this VEVOR Pet Hair Carpet Rake with Long Handle. It arrived unassembled with directions. I was impressed by the weight of the rake head itself, which has rows of small metal teeth along the front and back. The illustrations were small and a bit hard to follow. The handle comes in three thin metal sections. There’s a plastic connector between the top and middle sections, which you feed in from below to connect. There’s also a plastic handle for the top. Once you get it put together, it’s quite tall. I was impressed with how much hair it was able to get up from the rug, very quickly. It also worked well on a small rug in the bathroom which is always covered with hair but typically gets sucked up into the vacuum. The main issue I found is that the handle isn’t quite strong enough for the amount of pressure you need to move the rake along the carpet; it sort of bends and flexes a bit and feels like it might break. It helps if you hold it lower down the handle toward the rake, although that’s not as comfortable. The handle really needs to be strengthened or reengineered so you can comfortably use it at full length. But it does work. It comes with a couple adhesive hooks, which were a nice addition.

I docked a star because the handle is a bit flimsy and makes the whole thing a bit annoying to use, but it still works very well and I would still recommend it. I use this on the cat tower quite bit. Seems to work better than a traditional vacuum for cleaning off hair stuck to the tower carpet, at least it’s much quicker than trying any other method. The only issue I have is that it’s hard to get into smaller spaces due to the sheer size of the device. Would enjoy a smaller variant, but this isn’t the worse. It’s built pretty decent and I do think its a good value.
