The temperature presets range from 86ºF to 194ºF, and there is a timer that can be set for up to 48 hours. This large dehydrator machine provides 360° thorough and even drying without rotation and also has overheating protection, automatic cooling, and automatic shutdown.

Let me be frank, I really wanted an Excalibur dehydrator. They have great reviews and a long performance history. They are expensive, but thats not what was prohibitive this instance.
I was looking for a dehydrator with Stainless Steel trays that also were the correct dimensions that would fit in my dishwasher. Unfortunately, the only model that Excalibur had didn’t have an option for Stainless trays, only zinc plated.
So, hesitantly I selected this dehydrator as it seems to fit my needed specs.
Unboxing was simple. Appropriately packaged, no damage. Setup was easy and self explanatory. Only concern is that the included drip tray is smaller than the racks. Oversight, b in design but not significant enough to affect performance.
Next came trial operation. Powers on easily. Easy to set timer and temperature. I don’t love the dact that I can’t fine-tune the temp by degree, but I’m not doing anything so exact that fine tuning of temp to 1 degree is that essential.
During dry run, I placed a dual temp probe on racks 2 5 and 9. Readings on all 3 dual probes were near identical thus onldid screenshot of one probe (below). Temp was appropriately stable as expected from electrical sine wave heating elements. Where I was impressed was that the crest of the sine wave never exceeded the set temp, thus whatever you are drying doesn’t overcook in the process. This can be critical for preserving flavor profiles and colors of delicate herbs.
Longevity of the unit is TBD but 1st dry run and 1st batch of jerky exceeded expectations.
