We needed some kind of enclosure inside our pheasant coop to keep our younger juvenile birds separated from the big males who would peck at them mercilessly until they are big enough to escape and fend for themselves. Every option I looked into was going to be expensive and time consuming to construct, until I stumbled across this fold-up pen. It has proven to be the perfect solution for our needs. The soft sides and top provide protection for the birds whenever they try to fly up and bounce off of them, and the sides and top have plenty of ventilation. The zippered top provides quick and easy access whenever I need to clean or add food to their feeder. There is even a metal grommet hole on one side for mounting a water bottle to, but it is at the perfect height and size to fit over one of our horizontal water nipples on our water bar so that the birds always have access to clean water without the ability to make a big mess inside the pen! The whole pen stakes down securely so that it doesn’t move, and it will fold up nicely and go back into it’s storage pouch when no longer needed. We are so glad to have found this, and we would definitely buy another one again if we ever needed a replacement. It has been perfect for our needs.

This is great portable animal pen for our new puppy. She has been unable to damage it in any way, and its not for lack of trying. As the bottom is one piece it’s water tight for those little accidents and it’s easy to clean outside with a hose or inside in the bathtub. What’s really nice is the unzipping top as she can’t get out when interacting with her. If you have ever had a hard plastic kennel you will know why having a top door is really helpful and with the kennel being flexible it’s easy to move around the house. It’s a great price as well and comes in several sizes.

This was a good buy. I got it to use instead of a 42 inch crate for my puppy, which took up too much space in the bedroom. What would have made it a great buy would have been a way to secure it inside. It has a way to secure it outside, but he has figured out how to flip it over in the bedroom. Placing a dog bed in it has helped a bit , but it isn’t foolproof (or puppy proof).
It will be helpful when traveling though. I’m considering getting another for using with my cats to travel to the vet.
