This model went as a christmas gift and is slightly different from the 1st model we bought –
I’m pleased with the sturdy construction, and it frees the hands to make smaller kindling-
get the taller hgt and larger diameter and mount a 24″ 4×4 to the sides of both feet if your firewood is
18-20# so it can be fully split before it hits the ground.
Our 1st was damaged in delivery (Forklift?) and we received a replacement .
Don’t hit the cast with your sledge or maul.
pleased with the product- handsaver to make the kindling- and easy to prop the log against the rail.
