It’s great for contractors, technicians, and anyone else who travels to a jobsite as it’s portable. Everything you, need in an small carrying bag you can toss in the truck. You won’t have to worry if the jobsite you’re working at has properly maintained and stocked their Lockout/Tagout station because you’ll have your own. The product information covers everything included with this kit, but for most, it’ll cover all your needs to lockout and tag equipment to prevent someone from energizing equipment you’re working on. These are pretty standard “Lockout/Tagout” locks. If you’re familiar with them, then you know these aren’t impenetrable, but they’re not designed to be, so if you’ve never used these before, do not hold them to that expectation. These are bright red for a reason, to draw attention to them. In this particular set, I like the inclusion of the insulated hasp. The addition of the insulated hasp just increases this kits overall usefulness. No cons here.

It’s a lot packed into one small bag, which helps keep everything in one spot and ready to go when it all breaks loose. First pass? The tags, complete with zip ties. They’re plastic, sturdy, with metal grommets which make them especially sturdy for repeated use. There are three locks – all with unique keys – with smooth turning mechanisms that work well on… Three lock out pieces.
