Hi, Had a lot of family come over for Christmas. Our cabin is too small to handle all the kids. We have a bunk house that we had been working on for the kids to sleep and play. The temperatures were starting to fall here in North Georgia, so I needed a heat source. I decided to purchase this 8kw diesel heater. It was a great price from Vevor. It arrived very quickly. So, I installed it outside of the insulated bunkhouse. This was an experiment as I had never used this type of heater before. Very much to my surprise, this heater put out a great deal of heat. I used a flexible stainless steel 3″ air duct and connected it thru the wall. I used duct insulation around the pipe to minimize heat loss outside. I wired the 110v connection to the unit when I mounted it. I then built a roof over the heater to protect it from the weather. This little heater kept that bunkhouse at 68* for the whole time. When the temps got in the 20’s I would run it on the highest setting (10). At this setting I was getting 8+ hours. When the temps got into the 40’s, I lowered it to (5) getting 12-13 hours. My insulated bunkhouse was nice and toasty and the kids loved it. Also: there was no diesel smell, installation was easy, the remote worked excellent from the inside, it ran very quiet on high speed, and I could not be happier. Also: to get a longer run time, I think I am going to install a 5-gallon diesel supply tank using a standpipe in the future. I Highly Recommend this Heater.

I think everyone should have one. This particular setup is nice because it comes with a plug in 120 V 12 V converter, and you can run it directly. The fan off your car battery too? Great emergency heater, and if you had a small shed or a small workshop, this would heat it. I guess I wish they’d make a Cadillac converter for the exhaust fumes. Because a lot of heat goes out in the exhaust, but it throws out a lot of heat. I’m pretty impressed.Be nice just to have next year, even if you can’t.Heat your shop.You can put it in an area possibly if you could vent the exhaust.The hot air would blow on you.You could probably even use it outside.Just have the heat come up from under the hood or something like that.
