I used the core bits with out water on a 100 year old brick. It worked great! It didn’t wear at all really. I would highly recommend this tool

I bought this for a single use, to drill through 10″ reinforced concrete. I didn’t have access to water so I had to stop periodically to let the bit cool down. It took me about 20 minutes but I got thru the concrete.
I’m not sure this would stand up to every day use, but for a couple of times, the price point is spot on.

The bit cuts slowly, but it does eventually cut. Unfortunately I can also attest it will cut thick steel cables, as it cut a post tension cable in my patio. Fortunately there was no damage done.
