I like well made tools and am not afraid of spending the money to have them.
I just couldn’t however get myself to spend the $2,000 to $4,000 for a professional belt grinder. So I gave up on having one until I came across a YouTube review of the Vevor 2 x 72. That review and several others convinced me and they were right. It is an amazing machine. When buying cheap Chinese, you expect tradeoffs. There are none with this grinder. It is absolutely solid, with a strong motor, and all the wheels are perfectly true and balanced. And, the VFD works perfectly. I can’t recommend it enough.

Unpacked Grinder and had it set up and running in about 5 min The only choice was to use to wheel or flat platen Noise level is decent at 5000rpm full speed and only gets better the slower you run it Belt tracking works as intended Tested unit and im happy with the test run For a inexpensive 1×30 belt grinder this is a well made unit that has plenty of power and variable speed is a nice option I Did make a larger 4×12 inch rest to accommodate my jigs the one that came with the unit worked well but was just to small for my needs I needed to tighten all the screws but thats not a big deal in my book I used a level to make sure everything was square and level before final tightening of the screws For the price id buy it again and its def worth a look if you are in the market This works really well for a small Grinder it’s a beast and does many of the same tasks a 2×72 grinder will do! For 1/4 the price My only complaint is there is no reverse option on VFD its only runs in one direction For the Price thats not a deal breaker @Vevor adding that Option Would make this a 5star review 😉

So where do I start well it came very well packaged delivery time was very quick I got it out to my shop it was easy to put together very little assembly was required The variable speed control works great was really easy great for someone getting into knife making or blacksmithing such as myself or somebody that doesn’t have a lot of shop space again such as myself because it is small but powerful little tool has way more power than my 4×30 belt sander that I’ve been using and takes up less space I cannot say enough good things about this vevor belt grinder 5 stars all the way

This is an extreamly solid little tool, and an awsome value. I mostly LOVE the size. I have larger belt grinder for knife making, but I LOVE this one. I got this for my 12 yo grandson. He just finished his first knife (stock removal) and it turned out beautify, and he was very safe and proficient with it. It is very powerfull and hogs off as much steel as fast as you push it in. The very low speed is a ideal for sharpening. No over heated blades. I did modify it a little bit, but it is still awesome the way it comes. The table is pretty small, so I made a larger one about 4×8 in X 1/8 in thick, and just JB Welded it right on top of the one it came with. I also ditched the allen wrench, for a mini socket.

Received Grinder in crate delivered to my Garage door as instructed After opening crate I had to remove 2) 10mm lag screws no big deal and welcomed the unit stayed put during shipping which must have been a little ruff cause on leg on crate was shorter then the other 🤣 Get a second back to help lift Grinder onto Bench top @ 100+ lbs i could have done it alone but why take the chance of getting hurt? I found Assembly to be straight forward anyone with mechanical ability should have no issues figuring it out but directions are supplied if needed As others stated do not use a GFI plug or breaker they are to sensitive and will trip on power up. I Have a dedicated 20 amp circuit for mine Product details state if you want to use 110v supply voltage you need to use supplied step up transformer since motor is rated at 220v i did not receive one in the crate so i reached out to Vevor who answered my questions in a timely manner ( 2hrs ) they confirmed You do not need a Transformer since they now have a dedicated 110v and 220v models and all you need to do is verify voltage when ordering Drive is straight forward and easy to operate and also comes with A book if needed You should hang the drive higher than the grinder and to the left side of the motor to help prevent grinding dust from getting inside the fan on the drive draws air from bottom and discharges up and away from the drive so hanging it will help prevent drive from getting ruined Grinder Comes with Flat platen Large contact wheel and 2 arch wheels Belt tracking works as expected if it moves around adjust your tension Unit has all the power and speed you will need and for a lot less than other brands! Extremely happy with this purchase and would/will recommend to others I would buy it again but don’t see a reason why i will need too with proper care and maintenance this should last you a lifetime Well Done Vevor

I ordered the 1×30 belt grinder for my own use and was amazed at the workmanship and the quality of it. I use it for light metal work and to sharpen my collection of pocket knives. It was much more than I was expecting, everything about this is just fantastic.

This little belt sander is fantastic. I have used it 3 to 4 times a week since I bought it and it just goes and goes. Belts are easy to find and to change. Adjustable speed is smooth and it never seems to bog down.
My only complaint is although it is reversible, you have to dig for the process. I found it on YouTube. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again!
