Its good but not without flaws. 1st its marketed to be twice the size that it actually is. Saying it holds 25 lbs of feed, while it really only holds about 13 lbs of feed. The pedal is too slick and the chickens slide right off. And last the lid gets stuck open. I had to drill holes and install springs to close the lid. Its better than most, but it has issues.

Great job keeping the feed clean and dry. Needed to make a small adjustment by adding a board under the front portion to prevent it from opening too far, or it would stay open. Once that was done, it worked great!

Good quality, but sharp in a few spots. The rats figured it out before the chickens, so despite it being “rat proof”, it ended up being more chicken-proof. I also put a brick on the part that lifts to expose the food every night and remove every morning, so not what I was hoping for. I think our rats in the coop are just too fat.

So glad I bought this instead of paying so much more for others. This works great, love the training screws..haha. I have yet to run out of feed for my girls. I love that the feed is covered and won’t get wet.

It has a learner stage to help them figure out it out and they only needed it for two days.
The metal is strong and sturdy but surprisingly light to pick up even full of food.
Easy to put together with good directions.
I sent the link to two other people I know to buy this product I highly recommend it.
Saves feed from them throwing it around and NO more sharing with other critter!

This is a good alternative to a popular brand that costs about $100. More. Ours did need a little tweaking for the weight of our chickens but they are doing just fine with it. We did put this in the main coop with our 7week old chicks just so they didnt freak out. We also weighted the treadle down with some magnets so they could see the food. Training took about 2 weeks but well worth it.
