The posts seem well built and the powder coating seems to hold up pretty well. I would have preferred the 2″ x 2″ posts and was a little apprehensive about the 1″ x 2″ posts but they work just fine as deck posts. And I can’t find a better price than these anywhere. I am a happy customer.

Recently built a deck, installed cable rail around the perimeter. Can’t beat the cost of these, they’re literally half the cost (or less) than pretty much everything else on the market. Posts are solid, definitely good stainless (non-magnetic) so they should last forever. The only complaint is the top where the railing gets attached. You can not get it tight enough to support the end of a run. Once you start tightening the cables, you can see it visibly start to fail. I also used the posts for an indoor railing around my stairs to the basement. Love the look, just wish the top was a little stronger. You can see in the photo how it’s not straight. This is with minimal tension with 1/8 cable. I used 5/32 outdoors and it was much worse, ultimately had to install extra bracing to keep it from failing.
