The title of this item on the product page slearly states that it is 3mm thick. However, the item I received says 2mm on the package. When looking further through the individual pictures on the product page, the dimensions are listed and it is “not-so-clearly” described as being 2mm. It is shown in such small print that it is easy to miss, which I did when ordering it. The title is clearly deceptive and needs to be changed. I am keeping it because it was a good price and the one mm thickness won’t make a big difference in the room I am putting it in.

This was installed in a second floor as I didn’t want to bother the neighbors in the condo downstairs. I haven’t lived with this for a long time yet, but the floors seem solid and I cannot imaging too much noise is being transmitted downstairs. The combination of the cork backing on the LVT, the acoustic layer in the LVT, and this product seems to be as much assurance of a quiet floor as I could find. Our professional installed had not used it before, but he seemed to think it was a good product.

This is the perfect underlayment for your lvp project. Levels out the imperfections in the the floor providing a vapor wicking system just in case any moisture gets underneath your lvp. Easy to use and cut. Although cutting is easier with scissors rather than a blade due to the fibers on the back.
