This is a really nice tool for the money. Very smooth operation and I really like that they used a 1/4″ drill chuck to hold the bits instead of a collet. The variable speed works perfectly from zero to full speed via the foot pedal.

Excellent flexshaft kit. This included the power unit, flexshaft (and spare internal drive cable), foot pedal control, a set of assorted sanding & grinding bits and a chuck key for tightening the collet. It also came with a spare set of carbon brushes and springs. The power unit plugs into the foot pedal and the pedal then plugs into the wall. You can use it without the foot pedal by plugging the power unit into the wall, but then you need to use the power unit switch to turn it on/off. With the pedal you step on it to turn the power unit on and take your foot off to stop it. This makes it very handy to use when using the sanding or grinding bits. I use mine for bandsaw and puzzle boxes and the fine control that this makes available is very helpful in reducing the amount of hand sanding I need to do. I use a variety of sanding sponges, mops and drill mount sanding drums in this unit. If it fits in the chuck I can use it to more easily get into the nooks and crannies that would be difficult or impossible using a drill or drill press or even something like a Dremel as the flexshaft is relatively small (about 6″ at the tool end and a half-inch in diameter). The Vevor flexshaft kit was a much better price than other flexshaft products I looked at. It is solidly built, nicely kitted out in with accessories and well constructed. The power unit is robust and a little heavy if you were holding it directly but I have mine hanging off the side of my bench so all I’m handling is the shaft end. Two things they could improve on would be the addition of something to lock the outer sleeve of the tool end to make it easier to access and tighten the chuck (it works fine the way it is, but as I’m tightening it up if the chuck key slips out, the outer sleeve may rotate a bit and I have to readjust it to get the key back in the chuck and engaged with the chuck gears). The other modification I’d make is the addition of a hook on the flexible shaft cable or some sort of stand/tool rest

I’ve been using this side by side with my Foredom. Honestly, this isn’t best for everything, but good for many things.
The motor is solid, has good torque and it’s great that it has forward and reverse. Important as a jeweler.
The shaft itself is fine and it even came with an extra part – just in case.
The foot pedal is super.
The differences: It takes a bit for the motor to “catch” when pressing the pedal. Once you’re used to it, it’s fine. But it’s not as responsive as the Foredom.
The handpiecs looks and feels great, however, it’s not true. I’m considering returning it. Or I may just buy a Foredom handpiece to use with it. The chuck’s jaws don’t meet evenly, so it’s not centered and doesn’t spin true. It’s ok for general polishing and I’ve even been using it to drill. But it’s not for precise work. Would be too dangerous to polish next to a stone. No way would it work for setting any type of gemstone, as it moves around too much. And the fact that the power/foot peda. isn’t so responsive.
All that said, it’s still totally worth the price and I’m glad it’s at my bench. Saves me time, as I keep certain bits inserted and don’t have to switch all the time. So, I’d recommend it, but not for precision work. Maybe others are better and mine is just a fluke.

I installed it on a track on the ceiling around my work table. With a pull down tool equalizer. I eliminated the foot pedal and am using that on a drill press. It has good power. The on off switch is a little hard to use without it going from forward to reverse. I can see why they include the foot pedal. All and all it is good tool. Basically I use it like a dremel. Easy with the shaft. Like the chuck on it too.

Haven’t had time to use tool, life in winter isn’t always leisurely. Order received timely, packaged well, unit seems to function properly however have not had opportunity to really work it.
By appearance, quick shipment and pricing, probably buy again.
