We used this for the first time with some of our 55lb broadbreasted turkeys but DID NOT DROP THEM IN. We held them up and let the plucker pluck what it could (60%-75%of the feathers came off), when we dropped in a 3lb rooster it was plucked clean in less than 15 seconds. For as large as the feathers were with the turkeys, it did an unbelievable job at pushing them through. Easy to clean and worked really, really well and we’re looking forward to usng it for our meat chickens in the summer.
