My shop is uninsulated and 460 sq/f. I ran this heater 24/7 during a cold snap when the overnight lows were in the teens and the daytime highs were in the 20s. It didn’t make the shop warm, but it did keep it above freezing. during the day on setting 10 it took the shop from 32 to 42 though I did have to fill the tank twice. Turning it down to setting 2 overnight, it barely used any fuel at all. It’s a good heater. It’s probably not the best choice for my situation but I’m still glad I have it.

I bought this unit to heat my greenhouse 8×12 (96sq ft). It works fantastic, keeps the space that is partially insulated 20+ degrees warmer than outside temperatures. Uses roughly 1/2 gallon in 12 hours at lowest setting. My issues are that I had to modify the exhaust from setting the structure on fire.I made a diamond plate heat sink to mount the exhaust going out of my structure 6” in diameter and sandwiched the small circular plate the kit provided between two diamond plates. I also mounted the unit on a diamond plate base with the center cut out to allow the exhaust plenty of room to keep the heat from becoming dangerous. You really have to go above the guidelines to make it safe for continual use. The thermostat is mounted on the face of the unit which gives a unreasonable temperature. I’ve tested the temperature in the greenhouse using two different thermostats and it can be off as much as 30 degrees higher than the greenhouse actually is. . If there is a way to move the thermostat off the unit it would give a more accurate reading. Once it hits temperature it kicks down to the lowest setting which works for my application but if you need to keep your structure warmer the thermostat will have to be addressed. Because it’s so far off I’m not sure once the actual temperature gets low enough it would kick up again to increase the temperature because the thermostat is mounted to the unit and of course it’s warmer than it actually is. The extension heat hose doesn’t work at all. Better off not connecting it in my opinion. For the money it can’t be beat. Much more efficient than a propane or electric heater. Definitely get the adapter that converts 12v to a wall outlet. Wish it had a larger fuel tank but it’s a compact unit and you can’t get everything you want for $106.

So far works very good cheap on fuel just wish it was a little bigger as far as heating a bigger space but im in Indiana and very cold temperatures and my 20 by 30 garage isn’t insulated just yet but it warms it up to where you can stand to work in it with insulation it would heat the whole garage easily and way cheaper than a salamander or anything else that requires propane for fuel
