I’m a licensed master plumber who has video inspected thousands of drains using much more expensive brand name equipment. I had a job coming up and my camera was out for repairs and wouldn’t be back in time so I decided to order the Vevor 165′ camera. One of my friends has one and has been happy with it.
I’ve only used it on 8 lines so far but I’ve got to say this camera is a great deal. Sure, the hardware is not as refined but it has features that some of the cameras which cost thousands more don’t.
The self leveling feature works great. The push rod feels sturdy. The image is very clear. I’ve pushed it through 2″ cast iron and PVC without any more difficulty than my seesnake. It’s gone through 3 and 4 inch cast iron up to 80 feet. I’ve gotten it through 1.5″ PVC but I wouldn’t recommend forcing it through 1.5″ cast iron.
This camera is an excellent value and I ended up buying another one to have as a backup in our other plumber’s van.

I liked the product, easy to use, excellent screen quality and the recording functiona are most helpfull. All would be 5 starts except for the following 1 star items.Documentation/instructions are poorly written and have various missing functions/features. I still have no idea whether the device has a 512khz locator or not, the video shows a screen with inserted cable length displayed, mine doesnt and I dont know if there is a setting I need to set? Inserted length, I believe, is a vital piece of necessary data and not having it is a big issue. The description states the length is printed on the cable(and it is) but whoever decided grey text on a yellow cable was useful needs to visit an optometrist.

The price was good it was on sale. It is good for light use. the picture is very good and the light is bright. I got the 165′ long model How ever, the fiber optic cable is a bit thin and I don’t think it would push out easily for a long stretch. the case feels a bit cheap. If I was buying now I would get the unit with the hard case. I have only used it a couple of times, but I think its a decent deal for the money.
