Easy to use right out the box. Although largest setting fits, this machine is unable to effectively strip 500s without the gears skipping. 500s too large to avoid springs being compressed and gears unable to catch. However anything smaller works perfectly. Very satisfied with this purchase

I have a lot of boxes filled with wires of different gauges and types. The adjustment knobs above the unit make it easy and efficient to swap from 6 gauge to 14 gauge and from single strand to multi-conductor wires. The open backing is great for cleaning up and lubing the gears. This unit definitely pays for itself.
