Super easy to assemble. Rubber mallet and a smack board is the way. Just wish the box hadn’t been covered in wax, makes painting a pain.

This is my 8th year beekeeping. Never bought a package that the frames didn’t match up. The frame pieces do not match up and require either additional cutting or heavy sanding to put together. Otherwise, it’s a good set, reasonably priced, love the observation windows even tho the girls do not, waxed well.

Couldn’t beat the deal. I ordered 2. One is definitely better than the other. I like the idea of being able to look inside easily but I know it’s only a matter of time before the bees will foul it up. I don’t like the ventilation holes in the sight glass. I live in the south and just another entry for SHB. I also wish the wood access panel fit much better. One of the boxes doesn’t sit flat and the wooden knob on that one was set crooked. Having said that, I would definitely buy again at the price I paid.

Purchased 2 of these on Black Friday. Love the dovetail joints, with one exception, when the dovetail is made on a knot. See attached image. I haven’t assembled the frames yet, but it doesn’t appear that any of the pieces for the frames have knots in them. Would had given this review 4*, but the units arrived sooner than expected… WOOT! Xmas came early!
