I like the product. My major problems are it doesn’t remember the time when the batteries die. I have had this in use for only 3 months and have to replace the batteries the same amount of times. I plan to run power to the coop in the spring but still fear this will be a problem living in a rural area my power is not always reliable and ill have to continue to crawl into the run to reprogram the time and schedule. I tried to use the daylight feature but found it a better fit for my flock to set times.

The door works well, we installed it right away. It has gotten cold here in NY and it hasn’t died, despite the lack of sunlight. It has frozen open a we’ve had to go out and push the close button a time or two, otherwise it’s been a good door! I would definitely make the purchase again if need be.

Absolutely LOVE these chicken door openers…I have had many others that were complicated to program and build in. These openers come already to insert and go…I only wish they came in larger sizes to accommodate my turkeys as well as my chickens. The price is amazingly reasonable for the quality of these openers.
