I bought this umbrella last year at the beginning of Summer. I also bought 2 smaller thatched umbrellas from another manufacturer at the same time. I am writing this review because I had to throw the other 2 umbrellas away this Summer as they basically disintegrated. This one has held up perfectly. I am very satisfied! I just ordered another one today to replace the one that I threw away.

At start Umbrella seems well made and like tilt option. The only difficulty I had was getting the led lights to work. An earlier review was helpful to go to a YouTube video as I also couldn’t get good instructions when contacting customer support. They were very responsive but we couldnt figure out how to guide me. Finally realized the connection was not properly fitted. Simple in the end but had me looking for batteries. Regarding quality of thatch being plastic I have owned several over the years beginning with a high quality from outdoor furniture store. All of them disengrate eventually and birds love to pick them off to build their nest leaving some areas bare. I would recommend covering when not using in spring when building nests and storing covered in winter. I have have found a $50 at Walmart to a $700 and have had 3-5 seasons with all. Not ideal choice if the Barnes’s or plastic bothers you. As far as quality it is not same but comparable to a very expensive well made one in the past. the price is better knowing I will need to replace and led lights were a plus. I would recommend adding more instructions in the packaging for troubleshooting with illustrations. Very pleased

Okay I won’t lie, I didn’t have super high hopes for this because the price was very reasonable. However when I got it, I was shocked at how good the quality is! It’s been through lots of storms, it sits outside our deck of the pool, and nothing has made it fall apart in any way. The lights are perfect for a late night pool party or for a nice tropical bar. Super easy to set up, water resistant, and works like a charm. If you’re questioning if you should buy it for your pool or outdoor bar, just do it, you won’t regret it!
